A passive vibration-control device combining conventional TMD principles with eddy-current damping. It converts vibration energy of the tuned mass into electrical energy and dissipates it.
ETMD consists of a tuned mass, guide mechanism, eddy-current damping unit, and stiffness adjustment components. The tuned mass moves opposite to structural vibration, and relative motion with magnets generates eddy-current damping.

It requires no external power, involves no mechanical friction, is durable and maintenance friendly, and can be precisely tuned for high-rise buildings, bridges, industrial plants, and sensitive venues.
